About Me
Agnes Riley
IT Professional & Solutions Architect
Background
I'm an IT professional with deep roots in FileMaker development and solutions architecture. My work sits at the intersection of business analysis and software development — I help organizations understand their own processes, then build the tools that make those processes work better.
What I Do
I design and implement mission-critical, database-driven applications — from requirements analysis through deployment. Having worked as both a business analyst and a developer, I can translate what a business needs into functional specifications and then build them, without losing things in translation.
How I Approach Problems
I start with comprehensive requirements analysis to make sure technical solutions are actually aligned with business objectives. I pay attention to integration — new systems have to coexist with what's already there — and I write functional specifications that keep everyone on the same page before a line of code is written.
Outside of Work
I do photography, seek out great restaurants, go rock climbing and motorcycling. The pandemic taught me some woodworking and how to cut my own hair — both skills I'd recommend.
